Abstract (EN)

THERMOECONOMIC ANALYSIS of ABSORPTION COOLING SYSTEMSACCORDING to SECOND LAW by USING FUMES, VAPOR and GASHerman Krikor KÜRTYANMechanical Engineering, M.S. ThesisThe explanation of the practicing areas of absorption cooling systems and these systems?sclassification in terms of the energy sources which they use has been done. Their fundamentalworking principles, the functions of the components which form is system and the matterswhich ought to be paid attention in operation condition has been explained, also the positiveand negative sides of this system has been determined. The details have been explained byclassifying absorption cooling systems according to fluid binaries and stage-effect numberswhich they use. For single stage ammonia / water absorption cooling systems which includerefrigerant and solution heat exchanger with rectification column, the examine is doneaccording to first and second laws of thermodynamic for the whole and components of thismachine. In the position that the natural gas that is possible to be used in absorption coolingmachines burns, the first and second laws analysis have been made real for the systems wherechemical reactions occur. For absorption cooling system, economic and thermoeconomicanalysis has been done. In numerical practicing way, if the absorption cooling system usesgas, exhaust gas and vapour; unit exergetic cost of the produced cooling effect has beendetermined.Keywords: Cooling, absorption, exergy analysis, thermoeconomic analysisJURY:1.
