Abstract (EN)
In the Emergency Medical Systems, the important thing for the managers is to get the rigth information of the importance and urgency of the call and to deploy the rigth type of ambulance from the nearest station. The reason is that the response time is very important to reach emergency calls on time, there have been organized available number of stations with adequate capacity. In this study, a new location model is presented after general location models and models applied in EMS are examined. The number of stations, location sites, types and the number of ambulances in these stations and the sites covered by one station or two stations with minimum cost are considered in this model. Population density, distance to demand site and traffic accidents are considered for station locations with minimum cost . A lineer programming and a meta heuristic algortihm techniques are used for the case study of Adana 112 ambulance service systems . The lineer integer programming model is solved by LINGO 8.0 and global optimum solution is found. Furthermore, one of the meta heuristics method, genetic algorithms, is applied and the results are reported.
