The effect of the open- ended experimental technique on science process skills, scholar success and attitude toward bioogy

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects on experimental technique of open-ended Science Education degree 2 grade students' science process skills, academic achievements and attitudes towards biology .In this study, the students' scientific process skills, academic achievements to determine creativity "Science Process Skills Test", "Academic Achievement Test" and to measure attitudes towards biology lesson "Teaching Biology Attitude Scale" was used.The sample of this work included 105 students are studying in Science Education classroom 2 grade students in Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University.Students identified as neutral as the experimental group and control group. In the experimental group and control group, open-ended experimental technique used in the traditional method.Of the application, Science Process Skills Test to assess the impact on 2 grade license students, the Academic Achievement Test and the Scientific Attitude Scale Biology, experimental and control groups as pre-test and post-test was applied.The results of the experimental and control groups, academic achievement (t(103) = 4,703, p<.05), science process skills ( t (103) = 2,112, p<.05) and attitudes towards biology lesson (t (102) = 2,058, p<.05) for the students in the experimental group showed no significant differences in favor of.Keywords: Open Ended Test Technique, Science Process Skills, Academic Achievement, Attitude
