Determination of fluoride level in Adana areas drinking water

Abstract (EN)
Fluoride contents of samples taken from 68 drinking-water wells of province of Adana were determined by using ISE and an ionmeter.lt was found that 18 wells had a means value of 1 14.12, 14 wells had 191.42, 22 wells had 335.14 and 9 wells had 606.87 u.g/L fluoride. The wells which have high fluoride concentration are at near bank of Seyhan river. Except these 9 wells, the fluoride contents of others are low. Deficiency of fluoride of wells can be prevented by addition of sufficient NaF, so that babies and under 8 years old childeren have healthy teeth and bones.
