NUTRITION, USING ERGOGENIC AIDS AND PHYSİCAL ACTIVITY STATES OF ADNAN MENDERS UNIVERSITY SPORT STUDENTS CAGIRAN I.H. Adnan Menderes University Health Sciences Institute Nutrition and Dietetics Graduate Thesis, Aydin, 2018 This study is aimed at sports student who study at 2017-2018 academic year Adnan Menderes University. The aim of study is evaluation of physical activity levels, nutritional status and ergogenic aid utilization status of students. Study targets 9 sports team which are basketboll, futboll, futsal, volleyball, ping pong, athletics, cross, wrestling and handball. 183 students participated in the study, 70,5% male (n: 129) and 29,5% female (n: 54). The research was carried out to determine whether the general nutritional status of the students in the sports teams is sufficient, to evaluate the physical activity levels and the use of ergogenic aids. Two questionnaires were made during the training days. The first questionnaire consist of 5 main topics; demographic characteristics of the participants, general health, physical activity, nutritional status and questions of ergogenic aid usage. Survey pilot study Aydin Yildiz Spor 15-18 age group sportsmen (football team) were applied. In the second questionnaire, seven questions of IPAQ (short form) were directed. The average age of the students is 20.77 ± 2,581 years. Mean BMI values were found to be 22,5 ± 3,46 kg / m2. 22,95% of the students are fed by a program and 84% of them do not eat at least one meal per day. Students receive an average daily energy of 2590 ± 930 kcal and the energy they receive is %14,67 ± 3,35 protein, %33,28 ± 7,72 fat, %52,02 ± 9,72 carbonhydrants. As a result of the study, 27.23% (n: 50) of the athletes use ergogenic aids, 26 of the sport students used to use doping once in their life, and 22 sport students were still taking doping drugs. According to the IPAQ scale, 73.77% of the students were in category 3 (very active) (n: 135), 13.66% in category 2 (minimal active) (n: 25) and the remaining 5.54% 1 (inactive) (n: 10). 13 students did not want to answer the IPAQ scale.
