Determination of plant parasitic nematode species and their distribution in import and cultivated plant fields in Adiyaman province

Abstract (EN)

In this study, plant parasitic nematode species belonging to families of Tylenchida, Dorylaimida and Aphelenchida in major field crops in Adiyaman province are investigated. In 2010-2011, during the spring summer autum period, soil and plant root samples were taken. These samples were extracted for nematodes. Extracted nematodes were slide-mounted, identified and morphological and allometric measurements were preformed for each specimens. The definition of species which has been identified on areas that within the study extent, synonyms and distribution given on literature record, comperatively.A total of 38 species were determined of which species were 18 genus belonging to 13 subfamilies within 11 families of Tylenchoidea, Anguinoidea, Hoplolaimoidea, Dolichodoridea, Longidoridea and Aphelenchoidea, superfamilies of Tylenchina, Hoplolaimina, Dorylaimina and Aphelenchina suborders of Tylenchida, Aphelenchida and Dorylaimida orders. Among the species; Ditylenchus longicauda, Filenchus hamatus, Helicotylenchus crassatus, H. goodi and H. oleae are determined for the first time in the Nematoda fauna of Turkey.
