The investigation usage of some ethnobotanical valued plants in Adiyaman province

In this study, the usage of ethnobotanical valued plants in Adıyaman province have been investigated. 180 specimens have been collected with field surveys and these have been evaluated. Ethnobotanical valued 69 plants used by people have been determined, in the centrum, districts and villages of Adıyaman. These plants belong to 31 familia, 64 genus and 69 species systematically.We have been found 13 of plants are used only food, 22 of plants are used only medicinal, 26 of plants are used both medicinal and other aims, and 8 of plants are used different purposes except for food and medicinal by people. It has been understood that while information in the literature about 47 of plants were consistent with the usage of people, and information in the literature about 12 of plants were different from the usage of people.. There is no any information about ethnobotanical using 10 plants in literature.
