Comparison of Eurocode (8 and 2) and Regulations Regarding Seismic Region Structures (1998) and analysis of structural members

In this masters theisis, Eurocode (8 and 2) and Regulations Regarding SeismicRegion Structures (1998) are compared on the basis of general rules andanalysis principles. Later on sample problems for both codes are compared.This document consists of six chapters.Chapter 1 is an introduction and the aim of this work and some basicinformation is stated.In Chapter 2, basic requirements, criterias, soil conditions, foundationprovisions, earthquake loads, spectral accerelation coefficitiens, combination ofearthquake loads are analized for both codes.In Chapter 3, basic principles regarding design of structures againstearthquakes, structural irregularities, importance classes and importancefactors, modelling and calculations in both codes are compared.viChapter 4 covers the design provisions for earthquake resistant reinforcedconcrete structures.
