Abstract (EN)

This study examines the daily life experiences of asylum-seeking women who migrated from Afghanistan to Van and discusses them from the perspective of migration and daily life theory. The research aims to investigate the daily life challenges that Afghan women face after settling in Van and their coping strategies. The focus of this study is to determine how socioeconomic conditions in Van affect the daily life of Afghan migrant women and to understand their daily life strategies. By examining dimensions such as domestic life, religious and traditional rituals, daily routines, the study focuses on Afghan women's urban experiences and how they utilize their free time. In this context, fourteen Afghan women asylum seekers were included in the study. As a result of the semi-structured interviews, it was concluded that Afghan women not only struggle against dominant structures in Van province, but also try to protect their identities and integrate into the society through the tactics they adopt in their daily lives. Therefore, this study makes an important contribution to the literature by providing an in-depth look at the daily life experiences of asylum-seeking women who migrated from Afghanistan to Van.
