Afyonkarahisar Amateur Instrumental Festival string instruments in terms of examine

The Amateur Instrument Festival is of great importance in terms of the products produced by many students. It has been held in Afyonkarahisar for 13 years. Individuals who are interested in music can apply to this festival as an amateur who has a passion for music. Individuals who play many different instruments are able to show their work at the festival. Generally, it is observed that they participate with instruments such as piano, stringed instruments (violin, cello, etc.), baglama, kanun, flute, guitar, drums. It was observed that the most frequently participating instruments in this festival were string instruments and pianos. By the way, it is thought that string instruments are more common in terms of enabling orchestral and group works and ease of carrying. For this reason, the situation of the participants in the field of string instruments was investigated. In the research, the level of participants was determined and age, gender, educational status, financial opportunities, cities they participated in, how many years they have been studying, etc. In terms of this information, the situation of the participants was tried to be described and in the light of this information, the string instrument participant profile of the Afyonkarahisar Amateur Instrument Festival was tried. At the end of this research, it was found out that violin is the most preferred string instrument, and individuals with good family income value give importance to music education, and male participants participate less in the festival than female participants.
