Abstract (EN)

In this study, levels and seasonal variations of organochlorine pesticides residues were determined in fishes living in Selevir, Çatören and Kunduzlar dam lakes. Samples from commercial fish species were obtained from lakes in October 2007 (autumn), January 2008 (winter), April (spring) 2008 and July (summer) 2008. Totaly obtained 100 samples (40 C.carrassius samples from Selevir Dam Lake, 40 T. Tinca samples from Çatören Dam Lake and 20 C. carrassius from Kunduzlar Dam Lake) were kept in -18 0C until analysis time. Fats of samples were obtained with using soxhelet extraction. They were cleaned up with liquid-liquid chromatography and then levels of pesticides were determined in GC-ECD.Similar OCP residues was determined in all three dam lakes. 24 OCP residues examined and most widely determined OCP residues was ß-HCH, HCB, metoxychlor, chloraxynil, chlorfenilprop methyl and ?-HCH. Among these, levels of ß-HCH and metoxychlor exceed maximum residue limits in all three lakes. Moreover, it was generally observed that samples collected in summer session had higher levels of contamination. Moreover, it was observed that Selevir Dam Lake has higher contamination levels with respect to other two lakes
