Abstract (EN)

Radon and its short-lived products, which are decay product of Uranium-238 contented in soil and rocks, are consist of real danger for livings. Therefore, researchers have been investigating radon activity changes in air, water and soil to avoid the living beings from radiation. There are many geological and meteorological parameters that affect the radon concentration in different environments. On the other hand, the results are used to determine the relation between the radon anomalies and seismic activities. In this work, provincial center has been divided into 4 regions by considering the rock types and tectonic structure and radon activity concentration has been determined in soil gas using AlphaGUARD PQ2000 PRO detector. Results are changed between 0,23 kBq/m3 and 186,1 kBq/m3. These results were used to determine the relation between geologic structure and radon activity concentration.
