Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this thesis is to study the novel writing of Ahmed Günbay Yıldız who is the member of The Islamic Literature concept and The Hidayet novel in the Cumhuriyet Literature period, and the social issues in his novels. In this sense, in the introduction section of the work, The Islamic literature and the Hidayet novel concepts and his relation with this issues have been scrutinised. In the first chapter, after giving the short life story of the writer, are examined point of wiev to literature, novel and his place in popular novel concept are examined. The common structural features emerging from the novels studied in the second part were examined in terms of plot, time, place, characters, narrator and point of view. Furthermore, it has been explained what the repetrive elements are; what type of way he fallowed while untitling, departmentalizing and depicting his novel. In the third chapter, the social issues that the author signifies are summarized in ten sub-chapters. These are religion, guidance, family, marriage, youth, education, women, social criticism, corruption in social values and power struggle. The study ends with a bibliographic section which presents the outcome of the general findings and the sources used. Key Words: Ahmed Günbay Yıldız, Islamic Literature, Hidayet Novel
