Abstract (EN)
In this study, the religious and mystical elements in the works performed by Ahmet Özhan are analysed. Especially the layers of meaning in the works composed from Mevlânâ's poems were analysed and the unity of traditional music and mystical thought was emphasised. In the study conducted with qualitative research method, the data obtained through an interview with Ahmet Özhan contributed to the originality of the study. A total of 64 different religious and Sufi elements were identified and categorised according to their content by scanning the poems in 14 Sufi albums such as 'Mevlânâ'nın Dilinden'. Among these elements, there are many basic concepts such as the names and attributes of Allah, expressions about prophets, belief in the hereafter, dhikr, sema, murshid, vuslat. The study aims to reveal the spiritual effect of Mevlânâ and Sufi elements in the works, while at the same time making the metaphysical dimensions visible in the content of the works Ahmet Özhan has chosen to perform.
