The aim of this study is to evaluate the physical information about physical activity which has an important role in primary health care services and to evaluate the obstacles and opportunities in this subject. The study involved 300 volunteers. A socio-demographic and medical history questionnaire was used to determine the sociodemographic characteristics and health status of the participants. The questionnaire continued with the questions asked to evaluate the social environment and the level of knowledge about the exercise. The last work-related activities, transportation methods and exercises were completed and the questionnaire was completed. The questionnaires and scales were filled with face to face interview technique. SPSS 23.0 was used to evaluate the data and the level of statistical significance was accepted as p <0.05. Of the 300 patients who participated in our study, 66,3% (n = 199) were female and 33,7% (n = 101) were male. In our study, the rate of those who are physically active is 65% and 43% is regular physical activity. In our research, men were significantly more active than women, thin people were significantly more active than obese, high income people also more active than low income people. There was no significant difference between physical activity level and age, level of education, marital status, place of residence, smoking-alcohol use, chronic disease (p>0,05). In the study, it was observed that some individuals did not have enough time, health problems, lack of weather conditions, and lack of active social environment, so they were far from physical activity. All individuals, especially women, need to be informed about the benefits of physical activity. All individuals should be involved in physical activity by making necessary social environmental arrangements. Key words: Physical activity, family medicine, exercise, physical and social environment
