Analysis and interpretation of single parent environment drawings of children

m ABSTRACT Art as a subject can only find itself a place at the end of the list when the numbers of hours given in a week, the workshop and its aims are taken into account. Most of the teachers including art teachers are not aware or are left unconscious of the importance of theraphy, psychology, sociology, and educational science, which are the basic aims of the lesson. Art as subject is considered as a secondary or a third degree subject by the teachers as the Ministry of Education gives greater importance to the main subjects like Turkish, Mathmatics, and Science in their syllabuses. So, we can not expect the students and their parents to have a different approach. The student have difficluty in expressing their feelings or can never express them up to a certain age. As they keep their introvertnesses in other subjects as well they are assumed "unsuccessful". In this interim, the classroom's teacher and the art teacher who have the closest relationship with the students have to apply a method for the students apart from expressing themselves verbally. At this point we can realize the teachers can profit from the power of expressing the feelings of the subject of art. Art which has a simple way of expressing feelings has a very big importance on the student's expressing himself and his feelings and ideas about the facts. In this research, my purpose is to find out the source of the existing problems of children without misuse their feelings This period constitutes the educational phase. Up to this point it is the teachers's duty to analyse the students' drawings. And after this period, if the teacher can not help the student anymore, the teacher should direct the parents to clinics.IV The discussions between the spouses effect the children. But the Parent are not aware of this. They think "He is a child yet, he does not understand anything". But the analyses of the drawings of the children show that they understand everything and are effected very much. This research proves that our family culture has been inherited to us. A dominant father who makes the living of the family, and on the hand a recessive mother. And the children who are unhappy to see his mother in this situation and want to be a saviour of her. However, the children always wish "a happy family portrait" where every individual of the family is in.
