Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to prepare liposome and ethosome formulations of nicotinamide suitable for topical use and to evaluate their in-vitro release profiles. In the thesis; Nicotinamide (5%) loaded liposomes and ethosome formulations containing different ratios of lipids (Lipoid S 80) were designed. The effect of different production techniques on the physicochemical properties of the formulations was investigated. The formulations were evaluated in terms of pH value, conductivity, particle size, zeta potential and encapulation efficiency and release studies were performed. As a result of this study, liposome and ethosome formulations with appropriate physicochemical properties were developed. It was concluded that developed nicotinamide loaded formulations are promising systems for acne treatment.
