Abstract (EN)
Traditional Turkish Folk Music is an ethnic music tradition diversified with different dialects and genres in the geographies where Turkish societies live. One of the most important features of Turkish folk music is that it is fed by the cultural, geographical and sociological characteristics of the society to which it belongs. Turkish folk music exists mostly anonymously by feeding on the people's lifestyles, social activities, dialectal characteristics, traditions and customs. Turkish folk music, which shows local diversity, was formed within the historical and demographic structure of Anatolian geography and different cultures and civilizations. Each genre formed in its own unique forms, Turkish folk music tradition has gained diversity. In this context, the long air genre known as 'Arguvan Mouth' in Arguvan district of Malatya province has taken its place in the Turkish folk music repertoire with its characteristic features and dialect structure. Arguvan dialect covers the long airs in the region in terms of both melodic pattern and local singing characteristics. The long airs in the Arguvan region have a free rhythm and show a recitative reading feature. The transmission of the traditional performance style of the genre and its correct vocalization is possible by understanding these characteristic features. In this research; Arguvan region and the region known as Arguvan dialect, Turkey Radio The long airs recorded by the source person in the repertoire of the Television Corporation (TRT) were analyzed in terms of singing styles, and in this context, characteristic features, singing styles and dialect features were determined. Within the scope of qualitative research on the subject, document analysis method was utilized; written and digital sources were scanned on the subject. The data obtained were analyzed with the help of VoceVista, a computerized voice analysis program. VoceVista computerized voice analysis program was recommended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlter Denizoğlu, an expert in the field, and guidance was given within the scope of the research. This research is based on a meticulous analysis of 15 Arguvan dialect long airs obtained from the TRT repertoire in terms of the ornamentations used in the performance and the vocal characteristics of the performers (vocal ranges, voice types used, vocal attacks). In this way, it is aimed to create a resource for Traditional Turkish Folk Music and the region.
