Abstract (EN)

Discovering the knowledge, realizing its novelty and its characterization is an important skill. In an age in which experience in collecting data and technology is highly advanced, storage limits are at a point where it's impossible to evaluate them manually. If this period of time where there's a huge increase in data, is evaluated without the help of technology, it would undoubtedly turn into a pile of unprocessed data. Thus humanity's desire to learn and discover, created the need to evaluate the data storage in the best way possible and therefore, the study in data analysis and data mining has increased. Robotic Optical Transient Search Experiment (ROTSE) is a worldwide project with four robotic telescopes, established in order to follow the optical afterglow radiation of the Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRB). In this thesis, it is intended to find the long period variable stars examining the requested archive data of the fields obtained by the ROTSEIIID Telescope which is located in the TÜBİTAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) National Observatory. In accordance with this, a unique scanning software was developed and 48,330 stars were scanned in one field. As a result, it has been determined that 36 of them were clearly variable stars, 2 of those are already known variable stars, 12 of those were formerly only known as stars and 22 of those are new variable stars which had no place in literature before.
