Abstract (EN)

In this thesis study, the objective is to achieve stable operation of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) used in elevator systems under low speed and high torque conditions using field-oriented control (FOC). Within this scope, a unique driver system was designed for a 4.9 kW SMSM; the system's hardware (power circuit, microcontroller, encoder interfaces, etc.) and software were developed. The PI controller-based control algorithm was implemented on an STM32 microcontroller, and the system was tested on an elevator mechanism. During the experimental tests, the motor's performance was evaluated under no load, 600 kg, 800 kg, and 1000 kg loads. The results showed that the system operates with high accuracy at low speeds, responds quickly to load changes, and provides stable performance during direction changes. As a result, experimental tests confirmed that the developed system is suitable for industrial vertical transport applications.
