Abstract (EN)

In this study, the SIS scores of adult individuals who have had a stroke were examined using Latent Profile Analysis, and participants were classified according to their participation parameters and perceptions of stroke. Assessments were conducted face-to-face with 696 individuals with stroke who visited Tavşanlı Doç. Dr. Mustafa Kalemli State Hospital. To evaluate the participants' strength, hand function, activities of daily living, mobility, communication, emotion, memory, and participation, the Stroke Impact Scale (SIS) was used; for evaluating daily living activities and mobility, the Barthel Index was utilized; and for measuring participation in daily and social life, the Impact on Participation and Autonomy Questionnaire (IPA) was employed. The data were analyzed using Jamovi 3.24 with data obtained from the Stroke Impact Scale. Various goodness-of-fit indices such as Akaike's Information Criterion (AIC), Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC), and Sample Size-Adjusted BIC (SABIC) were used to determine the number of latent profiles. Additionally, the Bootstrap Likelihood Ratio Test (BLRT) and Lo-Mendell-Rubin (LMR) tests were calculated to compare models using likelihood ratios. As a result of the study, it was found that the participants were divided into three classes based on their similar characteristics, the results of the analyses, and their perception of stroke. The first group showed average values, the second group had the highest values, and the third group represented those with the lowest values. It is believed that our study allows for a comprehensive examination of individuals' skills and their perceptions of the illness, will change the methods and approaches for interventions targeting individuals with stroke, and facilitate the identification of more targeted and holistic approaches. In this way, it is expected to help in the creation of an accurate intervention plan. Keywords: Activities of daily living, latent class analysis, occupational therapy, social participation, stroke.
