daha sonra doldurulacaktırAli Zeki Bey, a writer of Cretan origin, has produced works in various literary genres, including poetry, novel, short story, and theater. In this study, the author identity of Ali Zeki Bey, whose life and works have not yet been written, will be examined through his novels Alev and Duman. Ali Zeki Bey commenced his press life with the poems he published in Demet magazine. After his poems published in Demet magazine, he wrote articles about the Greek atrocities in Tanin newspaper. Ali Zeki Bey, who left press life due to an illness, published his novel Alev in 1921. In the same year, his novel Duman was serialized in İleri newspaper. The novels Alev and Duman narrate a love story experienced during the Gallipoli War in the early twentieth century. Ali Zeki Bey, who also had a story and a theater play published in Tanin newspaper in addition to his novels and poems, left press life with an unknown resentment. The aim of this study is to examine Ali Zeki Bey's novels Alev and Duman. The basic structure of the novels; an attempt has been made to present the plot, narrator, point of view, cast of characters, time, place and narrative techniques.
