Abstract (EN)

The primary objective of this research is to examine the influence of a psychoeducational program applied to spouses of patients diagnosed with alcohol use disorder on their psychological resilience and perceived stress levels. Cases diagnosed with alcohol use disorder were systematically assessed using the Addiction Profile Index (BAPI), and spouses of individuals with similar addiction severity were divided into two groups. In this study, 42 spouses received a psychoeducation program developed by the researchers, while an additional 41 spouses received standard psychoeducation on alcohol use disorder. Assessments using the Psychological Resilience Scale for Adults and the Perceived Stress Scale were conducted at pre- and post-training intervals, along with evaluations at the first, third, and sixth months for all participants. The results indicate that the psychoeducation program significantly reduced perceived stress symptoms among spouses of individuals with alcohol use disorder; however, it was found to be ineffective in improving psychological resilience.
