Abstract (EN)
The present study was conducted to compare welt beats of butt weld and fillet weld performed by using ordinary MIG/MAG welding machine and new generation inverter MIG/MAG welding machine with mechanization at Terbay Machinery. The mechanization was used in order to remove the effect of operator on weld beats. Firstly, the inverter welding machine was adjusted by selecting the types of materials and thickness of material as 10 mm. The parameters of this machine were detected from the display screen during the process of welding and used in the ordinary welding machine. In order to compare the weld beats, two types of nondestructive inspection methods, namely penetration test and eyes inspection were conducted. The profiles of weld beats performed by using both types of machines were examined in detail. The samples were marked with respect to TS 9913 EN 1043-1 Standard and micro vickers hardness of these samples were measured. The hardness values of the main metal, the region under the heat effect and welding batch were detected.
