Abstract (EN)
The concept of "Compulsive Buying" has just begun to spread in our country. For his reason, this research wants to contribute to the subject that does not have research about it. Generally, researches have been done abroad and focused on only one demographic characteristic. Because of the lack of extensive research in Turkey, all demographic characteristics and social activities have been examined and investigated in this research. Survey was applied to 350 people in Trabzon city and the results were analyzed by using IBM SPSS 20.0 statistical analysis program. According to the results, demographic characteristics differed from gender, educational status, occupation and marital status. But there is no difference in social activities. The most notable factors are the frequency of shopping and spending and the pleasure factor from shopping. From here it is possible to reach the conclusion that most consumers who participate in the post-shopping survey do not feel any guilt. Keywords:Addiction, Compulsive Buying, Consumer, Consumer Buying Behaviour, Demographic characteristics and Social Activities.
