Abstract (EN)

Shopping center, which supplies all the demands and needs of an end consumer, is one of the retailing types. With the rapid growth of retailing sector in Turkey- as in my parts of the world- the number of shopping centers has continued to increase. As a result, intensive competition has occurred in the shopping centers sector.This study investigates the effects of attractiveness criteria, which provide competition advantage to the shopping centers, on the gravity distance of customer. In this context, the concept of retail has been explained in detail. Then, classification, historical development and the last status of shopping centers have been defined. In the implementation stage, shopping centers which locate in Ankara have been searched and the obtained data has been deciphered through statistical analysis. The study concludes with recommendations which are about the effects of attractiveness criteria on the gravity distance of customer to managements of existing shopping centers and investors which have a plan to open new shopping centers.Keywords:1.Retailing,2.Shopping Center,3.Attractiveness Criteria,4.Gravity Distance of Customer.
