Abstract (EN)

Heating, one of the basic needs of human beings, is provided by heating systems installed to ensure that any area is brought to the desired temperature. The development of heating systems arose from the need to ensure thermal comfort. The cost of energy required for heating, as well as factors such as environmental pollution, global climate change and depletion of energy resources, have increased the diversity of heating systems. Taking these factors into consideration, many alternative heating systems have been developed to meet the heating need. The variety of alternative heating systems makes it difficult for people to choose a heating system. The aim of the study is to determine the most suitable one according to the region where it will be installed, taking into account the criteria for determining the heating systems. In this study; It is aimed to determine the most suitable heating system for the heat needs of an administration building located in Simav district of Kütahya province. To this end; An economic analysis was made by comparing the heating application of a space with solid fuel (coal) boiler, liquid fuel (fuel-oil) boiler, gas-fired (natural gas) boiler, ground source heat pump and geothermal energy. As a result of the study; Considering environmental pollution and global climate change, it has been seen that heating with geothermal energy, one of the own energy resources in the Simav region, is more advantageous. In terms of contributing to the country's economy and reducing foreign dependency on energy; As seen in this study, the importance of having geothermal energy is clearly understood.
