Abstract (EN)

Different pollutipon profiles occur in different units within the process in aluminum coating plants. In the enamel coating section, wastewaters with more intensive pollution load were formed.Less wastewater formed in the washing units. The more acidic waters are formed from the anodized coating units, and the oils used for washing and forming purposes have higher oil-grease and COD values in the units where the joining with steel occurs. All of these wastewaters are combined with the result of production and given to wastewater treatment plant. In this study; the characterization of wastewater from two aluminum plating plants in Tekirdağ was investigated. In addition, after the treatment of these wastewaters in the treatment plant, re-usability research was carried out.In addition, in these two aluminum plants, the comparison of the advanced treatment methods applied to evaluate the reusability of the treated water was made. The wastewater from the existing treatment plants is treated with chemical treatment. After treatment, wastewaters are subjected to demineralization, ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis processes. Removal of TSS, COD and heavy metals and re-usability of wastewater were investigated. After the chemical treatment, the efficiency of the pH, TSS, COD parameters optimum removal efficiency, the applicability of the advanced treatment method and the rate of recovered water were investigated. Keywords: Demineralization, aluminium industry, chemical treatment, process water
