Abstract (EN)

In this study, usability of aluminum foam sandwich panels in buildings were investigated. In order to see the effect of storey numbers on the usability the Reinforced concrete plate systems, composite plate system consisting of trapezoidal thin plate sheets and reinforced concrete and aluminum foam sandwich panel systems, buildings having 5, 10 and 14 storey were modelled. Each Buildings models in this study were designed as three seperate type stuructural system which are reinforced concrete frame with shear Wall system, steel frame system with cross bracing and reinforced concrete frame three system s models were designed as three in this study. After the analyzes performed according to Turkish Earthquake Code 2018 in this study, significant effects of the plate systems with aluminum foam sandwich panels were seen on building weigths, displacements in x and y directions at floor levels, effective relative displacements of floors, base shear forces and buuilding costs. Finally, it can be concluded that the floor plates with aluminum foam sandwich panels having some additional advantages were seen as an alternative plate system as per conventionel reinforced plate systems and composite plate systems used in steel buildings.
