Abstract (EN)
In this study, anodic oxidation of aluminium was performed in aqueous solution containing both oxalic acid and sulphuric acid, on aluminium anode, by electrolysis. Anodizing protect the aluminum by making the surface much harder than natural aluminum. Aluminum oxide is grown out of the surface during anodizing and then becomes aluminum hydrate that is extremely hard. Two different electrolysis potential performed at different anodizing times (25, 30, 45, 60 minutes) on aluminium. For choosing ideal anodizing temperature all anodizing process was performed at room temperature (22oC), 30 oC,35 oC,40 oC,50 oC. After determinated convenient anodizing parameters the corrosion performance of Al / Al2O3 has been investigated in % 3.5 NaCl solution for 30 days. For this aim, corrosion potentials (Ecor) and the inverse polarization resistance (Rp) are determined. Also electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was used. These results showed that the oxide coating (Al2O3) obtained on aluminum surface exhibited important corrosion protection. Key Words: Anodizing, aluminium, corrosion
