Abstract (EN)

The minstrel tradition is a deep-rooted tradition that has existed since the Turks appeared on the stage of history and has lived as a part of folk culture for centuries. The minstrels, who played an important role in revealing, protecting and preserving this tradition, came to be known as minstrels in time. The minstrels, who usually sing their poems and folk songs accompanied by the instrument, have shed light on history by covering many subjects in their works. Among the 20th century representatives of the tradition, Âşık Feyzullah Çınar expressed the language, feelings and thoughts of his period and became the voice of the people. The subject of this study is the life story of Feyzullah Çınar in the most general terms and the notation and analysis of his works. In the first part of this study, which consists of three parts, the tradition of minstrelsy in Anatolia is discussed, in the second part, Feyzullah Çınar's life and art are given, and in the third part, the works read by Çınar are notated and analysed. The main purpose of the study is to create a corpus of the works performed by Feyzullah Çınar in his albums and recordings. This study is important as it is the first study in which Feyzullah Çınar folk songs are notated and converted into a written source.
