Identfying students that will be given nutrition and accommodation supports in Anadolu University through decision making process of analytic hierarchy

iiiABSTRACTSupplying scholarship to the students in higher education provides equality inopportunity in education. Besides, the issue has a great importance for the studentsaccommodation, feeding, transportation and meeting the costs of materials to be used ineducation.The students at higher education are given scholarship depending on some criteria byespecially General Directorate of Higher Education Credit and Hostels Institution andother public institutions, private ones and people.The use Analytic Hierarchy Process, which is one of multi purpose decision makingprocess, while determining the students to be provided with scholarship has an importantrole in terms of using both objective and subjective evaluation, testing the validity of theevaluations, according to many criteria, determining the priority of the alternatives whichhave been evaluated.In this study, the criteria to be considered while determining the students who will begiven scholarship have been taken into consideration with AHP.
