Analysis of the relationship between teachers 'culturalcapital competency and organizational socialization levels

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between teachers' cultural capital competence levels and organizational socialization levels. The universe of the study conducted with the relational screening model consists of 7837 teachers working in preschool, primary, secondary and high schools among 375 schools in Batman and Siirt city center in the 2019-2020 academic year. In the study, 468 teachers working in 70 schools determined by simple random method were reached as a sample. "Cultural Capital Scale" and "Organizational Socialization Scale" were used as data collection tools in the study. The data obtained in the study were analyzed with a statistical package program. Independent sample t-test, descriptive statistics, one-way analysis of variance, correlation and regression analysis were used in the analysis of the data in the study. According to the results of the research, both the cultural capital competencies and the organizational socialization levels of the teachers were found to be "high". In the cultural capital adequacy levels of teachers; A significant difference was found according to education level, professional seniority, school level and broadcast time followed. At teachers' organizational socialization levels; A significant difference was determined according to education level, monthly income, professional seniority, school level and the duration of the broadcast followed. A moderate positive relationship was found between teachers' cultural capital competencies and their organizational socialization. Teachers' cultural capital competencies are a significant predictor of organizational socialization.
