Abstract (EN)

The development of Pakistan's infrastructure and employment opportunities depend heavily on the construction sector. However, it encounters difficulties including cost overruns, scheduling slippages, and subpar craftsmanship, hampering the nation's growth objectives. By streamlining project delivery and reducing waste, lean construction (LC) has emerged as a promising strategy to handle these problems. This study uses qualitative research to analyze how well LC techniques may be applied in the Pakistani construction sector. To assess the applicability of these strategies in the Pakistani context, existing LC theories are looked at, and interviews with professionals and experts in the field are undertaken. The findings suggest that while LC techniques have proven to be highly beneficial in other nations, their application and adaptation in Pakistan call for careful consideration of organizational, cultural, and economic aspects. The research's conclusions give practitioners and policymakers useful information that they may use to decide how to implement LC in the best possible way. The Pakistani construction sector can improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes overall by using LC, which would support long-term economic growth.
