Evaluation of the working conditions and work satisfaction of the Ankara 112 Medical Staff

This study aims to evaluate the working conditions and work satisfaction during the working of the 112 Emergency Medical Staff in the Ankara province and county. 510 out of the 1055 personnel working in the Ankara 112 ASH participated to the study.In this study, face to face questionnaire is used as a data collection method. The questionnaire includes total 65 question; 18 descriptive question and 47 satisfaction question under the 7 major title. Out of the descriptive questions, there are two open ended questions and 16 closed ended questions. The satisfaction questions are in rating and closed ended.Questionnaire study was collected after applied to the 112 ASH Staff between the 23 September-30 November 2009 and then collected data was loaded to the SPSS 15,0 statistical analyses program and evaluated. Data is present as average standart deviation and as percentage frequency distribution. Varyans analyses and t test are used for the variables indicated with measurement in the statistical analyses. p<0,05 is accepted as statistically significant.57.3% of the subjects are female and 42,7% are male. 8.4% of the workers are Doctor, 36,5% are Other Medikal Staff, 17,1% are paramedic, 28,2% Att, 9,8% are officer and driver.In the work satisfaction, grup station staff is the most satisfacted staff and staff worked more than 10 years are the leastsatisfacted staff. In the colleague satisfaction, paramedisc are the most satisfacted and Branch staff is the least satisfacted. In the supervisor and administrative relations, officer and driver are the most satisfacted group and the group received incapacity report related to the work or job disease, is the least satisfacted group. In vocational training, the most satisfacted group is station staff and the least satisfacted group is officer and driver. In terms of economic and cultural aspects, the most satisfacted group is Att and married individuals and the least satisfacted group is the staff worked for more than 10 years. In the social aspect, the group having 1001 TL is the most satisfacted and the group received incapacity report related Accident/Disease is the least satisfacted group. In the resource aspect, branch staff is the most satisfacted group and the group received incapacity report related to Accident/Disease is the least satisfacted group.Key Words: Emergency Health embloyees, Staisfaction, Working Conditions.
