Abstract (EN)
This study was committed to determine, nutrition, health status and quality of life levels of 60 years and above 150 old those who applied to Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Family Life Center. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality to the Family Life Center, this ongoing study of 450 people 60 years and above constitute the universe. Those who agreed to participate in the study of the study sample consists of 150 people selected.Data with a questionnaire were collected using face to face interviews. A questionnaire for the elderly demographic characteristics, economic status, health status, quality of life to learn about their thoughts and to determine the nutritional status and the 42 questions consisted of seven groups. Data analysis was performed with Statistical Packages of Social Sciences (SPSS 17,0 software) and BEBİS program. Quality of life of individuals participating in the study to measure the level of WHOQOL-100 and WHOQOL-BREF quality of life scale with 26 questions generated adapt WHO-8 EUROHİS quality of life scale used. Of individuals participating in the study, 56% male, 44% female, average age is 67,0 ± 6,77. Of the participants, 29,3% are university graduates, 24% of high school, 12% of secondary school, 20,7% of primary school, 6,7% have illiterate. Almost all of the (97,3%) have health insurance.Body mass index according to the study, there is not weak group, 25,3%'s normal, 47,3%?s overweight, 27,3%?s of obese, respectively. 63,3% of participants' reputation has been diagnosed by a physician when there is at least one disease, 36,7%' of participants don?t have a disease that is diagnosed. The most common chronic disease of hypertension (30,8%), and with it during the cardio-vascular diseases (14,3%), diabetes (13,2%) and high cholesterol (11%) followed.Energy consumption below the recommended level for men and for women is over. The percentage of energy from fat in both gender above the recommended level (men 34,5%, 33,6% women). In both gender, while the percentage of energy from carbohydrates was low, protein consumption is among the recommended level.Vitamin E, folat, potassium, calcium consumption is low in both gender. Sodium consumption in men and women far above the recommended level. Vitamin C consumption is higher in women than in men, there is a statistically significant difference between sex and vitamin C consumption (p <0,05).WHO-8-EUROHIS quality of life scale and the eight variables for the descriptive characteristics were analyzed quality of life status of the variable mean is 3,7 ± 0,64, health status pleased to be 3,5 ± 0,85, to have the required energy 3,5 ± 0,78, satisfied with life skills to be able to continue their activity status 3,6 ± 0,77, 3,8 ± 0,71 for self-satisfied status of the human condition is satisfied in relation to 4,0 ± 0,85, having enough money to meet the needs 3,4 ± 0,73, where living conditions to be satisfied with their status 3,8 ± 0,91.KEY WORDS: Elderly, nutrition, chronic diseases, quality of life,
