Abstract (EN)
The diatoms of Ankara Stream were studied between October 2005- June2006. Samples taken from epiphelon, epiphyton, epilithon and plankton of sixstations were examined and 101 species belonging to Bacillariophyceae wereidentified. The most prevalent found out genus were Navicula (21), Nitzschia (15),Cymbella (8), Fragilaria (7) and Gomphonema (6). It was observed that Navicula,Nitzschia, Cymbella, Fragilaria and Gomphonema formed approximately 56% of thetotal number of species identified.Key Words: Ankara Stream, Bacillariophyceae, Turkey
