Abstract (EN)

The study, which was carried out in 2023 with the aim of revealing the agricultural characteristics of some chickpea varieties in Ankara ecological conditions, was established in the breeding trial land at İkizce station of the Central Research Institute of Field Crops. The study, in which 12 chickpea varieties registered by different institutions (Akça, Aksu, Arda, Aydoğan, Azkan, Borabay, Caner, Çakır, Gökhöyük, Göktürk, Hasanbey and Taek-Sağel) were used, was carried out with four replications according to the randomized block trial design. In the study, in addition to phenological characteristics such as 50% flowering and pod setting day time and vegetation period in chickpea genotypes, plant height, first pod height, biological yield, number of main branches, number of pods per plant, number of grains per plant, hundred grain weight, grain yield per plant, harvest index. and 10 agronomic features such as grain yield per decare were also examined. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the chickpea varieties were significantly affected by the examined phenological/agronomic characteristics, except 50% of the pod binding day period and the number of main branches in the plant. Among all varieties, It was determined that the lowest hundred seed weight was from Hasanbey with 38.53 g, the highest hundred grain weight was 46.23 g from Akça; the lowest grain yield per plant was from the Gökhöyük with 13.20 g, the highest grain yield per plant was from the Aksu with 21.88 g; the lowest grain yield per decare was obtained from the Caner with 142.67 kg da-1, and the highest grain yield per decare was obtained from the Göktürk variety with 253.67 kg da-1.
