Men's quality of daily life of patients with spinal spondylitis ankylosing deformities and evaluation

Posture is a combination of the positions which is taken by the joints in every movement of the body. In other words, it means settling each part of the body in the most appropriate position, in comparison with its adjacent segment and all of the body.The purpose of our study is to determine the spine deformities by looking to the posture analysis in the patients with AS and to search how they have an impact upon the patients with AS?s daily life activitiy and life quality. 30 case with AS and 30 healhty case took part in the study. Posture analysis and SF 36 with Beck depression poll was taken on all cases.Posture analysis was made with the help of a pendulum through observation. The polls were answered by cases reading the facts themselves, in the illiterate cases, were answered with the help of familiy relatives. As the presence of brevity of the muscles affects the postural status, brevity evaluation was taken. Also muscle strength was assessed and manual muscle testing method was used. Beck depression test and SF 36 poll was taken to assess quality of life of both groups. As a result of our study; the influence of the life quality in patients with AS found far more than healhty cases Also in both groups, no significant difference was found between their BMI medians On posture analysis evaluation, rise of the cervical lordosis, low shoulder, anterior pelvic tilt, genu varum was not found significant Other situations in posture analysis was found significant The conclusion of our study shows that the psychological status of patients with AS affects the daily life and because of the weakness of the muscles with the limitation of the movement due to the brevity of them, their life quality decreases and also shows the education of patients with AS is low and they don?t have enough information and importance about the diseaseKey Words: Ankylosing Spondylitis,
