Analysing the parents attitude to the children's depression symptoms whos parents get divorced or not get divorcet

The people with whom children establish relationship is of great importance in the process of children's development. With their attitudes and behaviors, parents are the most important role models and information sources of their children. Therefore, parents' attitudes, behaviors and methods they use are decisive points in formation of children's personality, establishing positive social relationships and appear as healthy individuals in society. Parental attitudes of children who are passive participants of divorce are very effective. Psychological and sociological developments of children are affected negatively by divorce. I was considered as to our study that divorce factor may have an effect on parental attitudes and childhood depression. Fort this purpose 200 subjects ( 105 boy, 95 girl) was practised Parents Attitude Scala (ABDÖ), Children's Depression İnventory (CDI) and self description from reformed by researcher. ANOVA and Independent Sample T Test were used in the correlation calulations of our study. İn the considerations of the findings. When divorced families and married families were compared, the average of divorced families,low democratic attitudes, authoritarion and protective attitudes were high. In addition, divorce was found to increase the level of depression in children. It was observed that the average of depression increased as the average of authoritarion parent's attitude increased.
