Potential research of plastic surgey and aesthetic operation preferences of health tourists coming to Alanya case in Antalya province

Health is the state of physical, spiritual and mental well-being of people. Tourism, on the other hand, refers to travels made to improve people's spiritual and mental health and to travel and see. This concept, which has become very popular especially in recent times, has allowed people to get treatment while having fun while traveling or to travel and see while being treated. As health tourism, which has developed in recent years, has increased the interest in hospitals, polyclinics and health centers. Health tourism has been diversified according to people's needs and wishes under the names of medical tourism, thermal tourism and disabled and geriatric tourism. While researching medical tourism in our study, we see that health tourists prefer eye diseases, surgical operations, plastic and aesthetic operations in line with their needs. While health tourism provides many developments in the field of health for Turkey, it is among the 10 most preferred countries for health tourists as it provides both fast and cheap treatment conditions. In addition, indispensable opportunities are offered to health tourists in Turkey, who prefer holiday centers where they can benefit from the sea, sand and sun, by obtaining quality and accreditation certificates in public and private hospitals. The potential of the services offered by health tourism to health tourists in the field of plastic and aesthetic surgery or cosmetic surgery in the center of Alanya, Antalya province, which is the capital of tourism, has been researched and demonstrated in the study. In this way, a study has been created that can be a guide in many studies on the advantages and disadvantages of health services offered in the Alanya region of Antalya province in terms of health tourism. Alanya has a high potential for health tourism, especially in plastic and aesthetic operations, and is a preferable region. Key words: Health tourism, Health tourist, Accreditation.
