Abstract (EN)

In this study, Antalya Province, Central Region at the treatment plants (Lara Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant, Belek 1 - Belek 2 Wastewater Treatment Plant, Kemer Wastewater Treatment Plant) sludge bulking and foaming causing filamentous microorganisms were characterized and sludge bulking and foaming to the measures meant to be solutions provided. Analysis of the wastewater treatment plant aeration tank, the activated sludge samples were used. In this study, June 2012 - May 2013 monthly samples of sludge taken bulking and foaming filamentous microorganisms that cause problems are examined and the filament-to-month characterization of four plants were removed. In addition, the sludge bulking and foaming to the problem of the pre-treatment with hydrogen peroxide and ultrasonic studies have been conducted. According to the results obtained in the most intense seen in plant species throughout the year, respectively, Type 0041, Type 0675, Microthrix parvicella. 99% of the sludge samples during the summer period there is the problem of sludge bulking and foaming. Examined in facilities throughout the year sludge volume index of 150 ml / g value does not drop below. The preliminary treatment practices (ultrasound and hydrogen peroxide) sludge bulking and foaming in order to solve the problem of the application of hydrogen peroxide and ultrasound can be used is considered.
