Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was tried to determine the effectiveness of different trap types within the biotechnical control method since the emergence of the olive fruit fly (Bactrocera olea Gmel.) (Diptera: Tephritidae) harmful in olive orchards of Antalya province. As the materials for the control of adult olive fruit fly; 30 g / l diammonium phosphate + 0.5 g / l ammonium carbonate, yellow sticky trap, pheromone capsules (50 mg dioxaspiro 5.5 undecone + 70 g carbonic acid) and delta type traps were used. The present study was carried out at two different locations of Antalya province (Zeytinpark and a grower orchard in Gebizli-Muratpaşa) at a time when the adults of this pest were in nature (end of June - end of October) in (2017 and 2018). During this period, various types and combinations of traps were hung in order to capture the adults of the pest. The traps were hung up about 2 meters above the southeastern outskirts of the trees and the treatments were applied in a completely randomized block design, with 3 replications; each plot consisted of 4-5 trees. The traps were replaced with fresh ones at biweekly intervals, and the collected traps were taken to the laboratory and examined using a Binocular Head loupe (35x). During the each sampling date, the data obtained from the different types and combinations of traps from each garden were recorded separately. The results obtained from the study revealed that the attractant and feromon attached to the yellow sticky trap in the Zeytinpark olive grove captured the highest number of adults (respectively, 28.6 and 18.0 adult/trap/period in 2017 and 2018), but in the grower orchard located in Gebizli-Muratpaşa the delta type trap with pheromone and attractant captured more adults (respectively, 17.6 and 21.6 adult/trap/period in 2017 and 2018) than all the other treatments. Overall the results suggest that these two types of traps can be used in controlling olive fruit fly.
