Abstract (EN)

The objectives of this study are, serological and molecular detection of TSWV in tomatos peppers and lettuces growing in Antalya center (Aksu, Kurşunlu, Çamköy, Altınova), Serik (Center, Çakallık) and Kumluca (Center, Mavikent, Beykonak) provinces between 2007 and 2009.Collected samples were firstly tested with ELISA and infection ratio was determined as 88.25 %.TSWV positives were coded and used for mechanical inoculation. The symptoms were observed on A1, isolates inoculated test plants in 7-10 days, S1 and K1 isolates showed in 20-24 days after TSWV inoculation..Total RNA extraction was done from infected test plants and used for RT-PCR method. DNA bands were observed in respected sizes after the PCR products were tested in agarose gel electrophoresis.
