Abstract (EN)

Cardiovascular diseases are one of the highest mortality diseases worldwide. Intracellular oxidative damage is known to be associated with cardiovascular diseases. In this study, nuclear factor erythroid 2 related factor 2, glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSK-3ß), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) activities, 4 -Hydroxynonenal (4-HNE) and Malondialdehyde (MDA), lipid peroxidation toxic products, levels were determined in the serum of the patient and control groups. A significant difference was found between the patient and control groups with ACS in the measured parameters. At the same time, there was a significant positive correlation between GSK3ß and Nrf2. As a result, it is thought that it will be beneficial to add Nrf2 activator and / or antioxidant substances in addition to the treatment applied to patients with ACS.
