Thesis)Fevzi YEŞ LKAVAKGAZ UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYDecember 2006ABSTRACTToday to compensate dwelling needs, the constraction of the commonarchitectural planned apartment dwellings, especially addressing to the middlesocio-economic status (SES) users, continues rapidly. In this research it is triedto determine to what extend the kitchens of the apartment dwellings in commonarchitectural plan meet the daily needs of the users and whether there arecomplaints or not. Therefore, kitchens of 4 apartments in the common typearchitectural plan in Eryaman 7th stage in Ankara that is thought to beaddressing to middle SES, is involved in this research. A detailed questionnairehas been done to dwelling users for their evaluating their kitchens.Consequently, it is found out that users find the kitchens in the common typemade by TOK generally adequate and evaluate the quality of space perceptionpositively. On the other hand, it is seen that most of the users complain aboutthe deficiency of storing units in kitchen space.
