Abstract (EN)
In this study, stand edge effect were investigated on scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) forests exist in Araç Directorate of Forestry. Examinations were made on sample areas for investigating stand edge effect, which has a important role for biodiversity, wildlife and forest protection, stand profiles of sample areas were made, and parameters such as tree height, diameter, stand volume and stand chest surface were evaluated through from open areas to stand area. Herbaceous plant species, which associates with the soil properties, also have been identified. Relationship between light of actual forest stands and current growth of youth in recent years were demonstrated by the Honowski light factor. Silvicultural suggestions were made due to evaluation by the class of natural youth vitality. Key Words: Foreststand edge, biodiversity scotch pine
