Abstract (EN)

Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) are seeking solutions to increase the safety of traffic on roads, to provide driving comfort and, to increase efficiency, as traffic intensity is increasing day by day. New standards have been proposed, especially in the last ten years, and the development of these standards has been emphasized. In order to facilitate data communication between vehicles and to enable them to collect information from a wider area, Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET) has been put forward. Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks have enabled the creation of a dynamic network structure in traffic by allowing both vehicle and infrastructure units to communicate wirelessly with each other. In this thesis, under Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET) family, Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC) protocol stack will be used as a wireless communication protocol. In this thesis, an urban interchange model for highways will be discussed using these protocols. Traffic light information system for vehicles will be designed and the contents of the message to be issued from roadside fixed unit will be proposed in this thesis. In the proposed message, the message sets in the SAE J2735 dictionary for the Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC) protocol stack are referenced. This signal is adapted for the proposed intersystem model by improving the Signal Phase and Timing (SPAT) message. In addition, the MAP message, which is also included in the SAE J2735 dictionary, is used to send the fixed position of the cross. These messages, whose content is being proposed, is broadcasting from the roadside unit, aimed at delivering these messages to vehicles in the open field with line of sight. As the performance analysis of the proposed system, the package delivery rate, probability of being a hidden station, package delivery ratio by adding hidden station account was done. The proposed model was investigated by creating a traffic light scenario and the application performance ratio was calculated. The thesis does not include the message package proposed in this thesis because the analysis, use and yield gains of the recipient are required to be interdisciplinary. The thesis does not include the message package proposed in this thesis because the analysis, use and yield gains of the recipient are required to be interdisciplinary. In section 1, the purpose of the thesis and the previous work on this topic are given, in section 2 the concept of vehicle ad-hoc networks is mentioned, in section 3 the dedicated short range communication protocol stack which constitutes the thrust bearing is examined, in section 4, a system has been proposed, and the system proposed in chapter 5 has been analyzed.
