Istisshad with proverbs in Arabic language

In this study, the subject of istishhad with proverbs in the Arabic language is discussed. In this sense, the reference volue of proverbs in determining the rules of language and the meaning of words have been questioned. As a result of the examinations, the proverbs; It has been determined that its use as a reference in books written in the fields of syntax, grammar and dictionary is preferred by language scholars to a lesser extent. The research focused on the possible reasons for this situation; reasons such as not knowing who said the proverb, zarûrât-ı meseliyye, the abundance of proverb narrations and the fact that the language of the proverb is a daily language have been explained and the question marks on this issue have been resolved. Moreover, the source value of proverbs for istishhad was examined; It has been concluded that it is a useful source due to its features such as containing products from various Arabic dialects, the immutability of its words, revealing the unknown aspects of Arabic, being a rich dictionary source and reflecting all levels of the language. In addition, the dictionaries, syntax and grammar works of the linguists were examined and the methods of istishhad with proverbs were revealed and examples of it for each discipline were presented in a separate section.
