Abstract (EN)
The study titled "An Examination of the Works of Arife Kalender" delves into seventeen poetry books, two collections of short stories, one novel, and seven children's books published by Arife Kalender between 1992 and 2022. Works by Arife Kalender that are non-fictional, such as essays, memoirs, and collaborative pieces, were excluded from the literary analysis. However, brief descriptions of these works were provided. Additionally, although Arife Kalender has translated poems by female German poets like Else Lasker Schüler, Hilde Domin, and Rose Ausländer, these translations were not included in the study due to copyright restrictions preventing their publication. The objective of the study is to analyze Arife Kalender's fictional works and draw conclusions about her authorship. The "Related Literature" section of the study explains the examination methods used for poetry, short stories, and novels, also discusses the books, theses, and articles referenced during the research. In the "Methodology" section, information is provided about the research model, population and sample, data collection tools and techniques, as well as the process of data collection and analysis. The "Findings and Interpretations" section covers seven main topics: "Arife Kalender's Life," "Arife Kalender's Artistic Approach," "Arife Kalender's Works," "Analysis of Arife Kalender's Poems," "Analysis of Arife Kalender's Short Stories," "Analysis of One of Arife Kalender's Novels," and "Analysis of Arife Kalender's Children's Books." These topics are further divided into subheadings based on themes and structures, with feminist criticism methods applied as necessary. In addition to these sections, there are the "Conclusion" which provides an overall assessment of the study, the "References" section listing the sources used, and an "Appendix" containing an interview conducted with Arife Kalender on December 10, 2022. Keywords: Arife Kalender, Poetry, Novel, Short Story, Feminism.
